Today I cooked for the first time my own homemade cranberry sauce with a fresh citrus infusion. It was so simple to make and quite yummy.
Lemon Cranberry Sauce
- Fresh cranberries- 12 oz bag
- White Sugar- 1 cup 2 tbsp
- Lemon Zest- of 1 lemon
- Lemon Peel- 3-4 rings
- Water- 2 tbsp
- Rinse your cranberries, place them in your pot. Add all ingredients and put on low heat until sugar starts to dissolves about 10 minutes.
- Raise heat to medium and simmer for another 15 minutes, stirring constantly until cranberries burst and sauce begins to thicken. Remove from heat and remove lemon peels before serving. Serve warm or at room temp.
